"I have no qualms recommending it to those who may find themselves as technologically challenged as myself."

"I really liked the layout of the book. Each section is accompanied by PHP code snippet which shows how it is done. Just because one gets two books at the price of one does not mean that the book is short on detail. In fact the opposite is true and the 860 pages contain all that is needed for coming up to date with the latest version of PHP and MySQL."

"If you are considering Gilmore's book amongst other options, purchase this one first and give it a read-through. If you still aren't satisfied, then look to other books to enhance your knowledge. My hunch is that as you progress in your understanding, you will find this book to be not only informative but also foundational to your programming skills."

Did you know you can quickly look up a PHP function simply by appending it's name onto the end of www.php.net? For example, to learn more about the explode() function, just navigate to www.php.net/explode.
